This is a problem for any vacant property. I know of a house in my neighborhood that had the copper stolen twice before the house actually sold. On a very well-trafficked street, no less. I’m happy it wasn’t my listing. I do try to visit all my vacant listings on a regular basis – flush toilets, check doors, etc – but an occasional visit can’t substitute for someone actually living in the property.
