I’ve been getting feedback recently on several listings that run something like the following:
“Really nice house. Buyers chose something else — there’s just so much inventory now.” Or “Buyers can’t decide — too many houses to choose from”.
What this really boils down to is how the price and condition compare to the competition. A listing that is overpriced is going to help sell similar houses that have lower prices.
The buyers that I’m working with now are scrutinizing property condition like there’s no tomorrow. Maybe it’s a backlash against the years where buyers had to take property in “as-is” condition and no home inspection. And with interest rates stabilizing and even dropping somewhat, buyers are not feeling any real pressure to make a decision.
